On the edge of seventeen
when like is still an unrealized dream
& youve never woken from a nightmare
with a scream
wondering what your future would be like
On the edge of a breakdown
after a dozen years or so of
disappointment and disillusion
confusion
waking in a cold sweat
depression is all you get
is this how it seemed to you back then?

I'm feeling u on this one...it's a shame youth is wasted on the young...if I know life was going to be like this...I would have stayed 17 forever. Don.
