If It Didn't Suck....

One of my stories is featured in the following anthology!

It is called Randy's Night Out and here is a review of the story included in this anthology.


I originally read Randy's Night Out in Wake Up Dead - An Undead Anthology, and I thought the story was a completely remarkable account of a vampire struggling with an infection he received from one of his victims. The vampire's dilemma of suffering from a fatal disease as an immortal was compelling and sad, and it is made worse by the humans he encounters. Castagna did a fabulous job of creating sympathy for the "monster," while showing how much more cruel men can be compared to the things that go bump in the night...and the scenario was very realistic, considering that the main character is a vampire.

I appreciate that Castagna stuck more to a classical version of the undead, instead of resorting to some ridiculous Hollywood version.
